Knotty Horse – The Obsession Continues

Happy Monday! It’s Susan!

After my positive experience with Knotty Horse Apricot Oil Detangling Treatment, I decided to give Knotty Horse Apricot Oil Brightening & Conditioning Shampoo a try. Again, the smell cannot be beat. The lather was good and rinsing the coat was easy. I have used some heavy shampoos where I’ve found myself still removing a soapy lather 10 minutes later, so I love when a quick rinse can leave me confident that no soap is being left on my horse.

This Knotty Horse shampoo did not disappoint on leaving a shine and clean coat! One thing I like out of a shampoo is when it can leave a nice soft, shiny finish to both the coat and the tail. While Knotty Horse left the coat to near perfection, the tail felt slightly stripped. Because of this, Stephanie and I applied Knotty Horse Detangling Treatment to the wet tail which was the finishing touch the tail needed.

I mean, look at this shine! This is Scarlett immediately pulled out of the wash stall about 90% dry from her Knotty Horse bath, no editing or filter necessary.

I used the shampoo again on another mare in the barn that tends to be dull coated. I was really pleased with how she dried. Her tail felt far less dry but she has a fraction of the tail that our first crash test dummy, Scarlett, has. In other words, I loved the result that I got from the shampoo on the body of the horse, and will continue to love the smell and outcome of Knotty Horse.
